A New Dimension in Design
2016: Version 5
Version 5 of 2020 Fusion bathroom and kitchen planning software offers many new features and functions implemented with time savings specifically in mind, all designed to provide users and their customers with a greatly enhanced and more efficient user experience.
360° Panorama: Virtual Reality Viewer Support
Further enhancements have been made to the highly popular 360° Panorama export feature, with Version 5 now providing support for an additional smartphone viewing mode. Using a compatible smartphone in conjunction with virtual reality viewers, designers will now be able to amaze their customers with an immersive experience of their dream design.
360° Panorama: Preview Prior to Publishing
2020 Fusion now allows a designer the option to preview 360° Panoramas prior to publishing, via a new preference entry. Note: this facility is not available when generating 360° Panoramas in the background.
360° Panorama Export: Higher Resolution Options
360° Panoramas can now be generated using any of four different resolution settings, ranging from the existing quick but ‘Low’ quality setting (1024 x 1024 pixels), right up to a more detailed ‘Ultra’ quality setting (2880 x 2880 pixels) which will take longer to generate.
Version 5 introduces ‘Background Processing’, allowing designers to take full advantage of the power of their multi-processor machines and ending long periods of inaction whilst printing or exporting designs. Any printing, export, movie creation, or 360° panorama generation task can now be managed in the background, thereby freeing up the designer to undertake other activities whilst the output is being generated. Designers can also keep track of and manage the order and progress of all background prints, exports, movies and 360° panoramas via a corresponding System Tray application found on the right hand side of the Windows taskbar, giving them full control.
Support Link/Unlink Existing Design Items
In the item list view, Version 5 now makes it possible to select specific items already placed in the design and link them to another. Similarly, it is also possible to unlink an existing child item from its parent.
Designers are also supported in this process through the provision of ‘real-time’ user guidance on the status bar at the bottom of the screen.
Select and Move Multiple Dimensions & Annotations
Designers are now able to select and reposition multiple dimension rails and move them together in the same plane – thereby saving time and avoiding repetitive actions. Similarly, it is now possible to select and reposition multiple annotations in a single action by dragging and dropping in any direction.
Mirror Design Enhancements
The mirror design process is now also able to intelligently replicate all ‘Print Areas’, ‘Dimensions’ and ‘Annotations’ present in the design, thereby preventing the need for the designer to reapply all of these elements in the new variant.
32bit/64bit Installation Options
With the predominance of 64bit systems now in general use among 2020 Fusion designers, it will now be possible to upgrade to a 64bit variant of Version 5, thereby taking full advantage of all of the benefits of operating in a 64bit environment – the most significant being the availability of a larger addressable memory.
