Emily graduated college in 2012 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Interior Design from The Art Institute of York, Pennsylvania. She began working in the commercial interior design industry a few weeks after graduation. She studied several different disciplines throughout college such as psychology and English, but only interior design allowed her to use creative thinking in a constructive way to accomplish a finished product. “I have always been interested in designing functional and inspiring spaces for areas that people spend a large part of their life in. I enjoy the challenges commercial design requires; knowledge of codes, space planning requirements, material and product durability, stability and functionality, and the use of color, texture, pattern and light to create aesthetically pleasing spaces.“
Emily began using 2020 Giza and 2020 Worksheet as soon as she began her career. Since then, she has added 2020 Cap with AutoCAD and 2020 Visual Impression. “Having the ability to search hundreds of catalogs, pull in manufacturer’s symbols, and export the information linked to the symbol into a worksheet with pricing is a time-saving and invaluable tool. The time 2020 software saves the design department translates into monetary savings for the company.”
