Quite frankly there is negligible difference between the graphics cards since we moved to Windows10 – as you say,the Redway 3D engine no longer sees the cards. Assuming that this will change in the future then I’d probably go for the machine with the MX150 as it is a newer GPU but so many other factors are relevant.
Both are extremely good choices although I’d rather a lower res screen on a 17″ – on the face of it, this seems a silly thing to say but 4K on 1 17″ screen is a waste and you are rendering at a higher resolution than the same size window on a 1920×1080 screen which will take longer.
Both machine use the i7-8550 I think and that is an excellent processor.
Just FYI, whichever machine you get, there are settings you need to tweak. Change the power profile to ‘high performance’ and make sure that in the Nvidia controls that the NVidia is set as the default graphics processor.
