Changing default texture on French Door?

      Hey gang!

      Anyone know how to change the default texture on the French Door from white to something else without the top and bottom rails (above and below the glass) turning grey?

      Super frustrating!

      Hi Ariana,

      I tested changing the texture on a single French and double French door and both items worked correctly. I was able to switch the textures by going into the items Attributes and Variables. Which version of Design are you running currently and which door are you using specifically? Let me know!

      Hi Kris,

      I’m using the DOOR.INT.FR from Openings and Obstacles.  I’m using V12.5.1.32

      I’ve attached a picture!

      Hi Ariana,

      After a bit of testing, I’ve found that this was an issue in the version 12.5.1.32 regarding certain textures and how they apply. The issue has been fixed in v13. I tested the Wood – Cherry Autumn (Horiz.) texture in v12 – turned out horrible, and in v13 – worked perfectly. See images below.

      I had found a work around to get it to work in v12 for you. When you have the texture library open, right click on the texture you want to use a click ‘Copy texture to User Texture Library’ and then apply it from your user texture library. This will make it work in v12 🙂

      WTF???!??

      Kris!  What have you been hiding on me??  Copy Texture to User Texture Library???

      First: this worked AMAZING – thank you!

      Second:  BOTH my cabinet suppliers use proprietary texture catalogues for their cabinets, that won’t let me colour a cube to match (since it’s not from their catalogue) – so I curse and get frustrated every time I need to use a cube to represent a fridge panel on it’s side, or something like that – because I can never get it to match exactly. NOW I CAN!

      This solved so many problems for me!

      One day, they will write songs about you.
