ParticipantWhat to do if the color in the manufacturer’s catalog does not correspond to reality.
For example, Kitchen Cabinets catalog from TSG Forevermark.
Color Light Gray- looks like Light Blu,
Color Signature Pearl – looks White, but must be more Yellow.
and more colors.I can make all the colors that I need myself, how can I access the catalog to do it 1 time.

ParticipantHI Roman,
I’m noticing that you are using Redway 3D as the rendering engine and using texture with edges as the rendering mode. What I would suggest is to add more walls to the drawing so that it produces more light in the design. I’m thinking that because there is only one wall, it is only producing light on top of the unit making its face darker. I would also suggest trying to use Texture to see if that would portray the correct colour.
If anything I would also suggest to contact our support department for assistance with this. You can contact us at 1.866.697.2020.

ParticipantHi Roman,
I have the same issue with one of my suppliers. Whoever decided on their 2020 colours was not really doing their due diligence.
I’ve done it two ways – sometimes after creating the colour match, I just save it in a growing folder of textures earmarked for that supplier. Over time I will eventually have a full catalogue of textures for them. I then just use the GLOBAL Attributes to change all the cabinets in the design.
The other way to do it is to actually change the texture file assigned to that colour in the manufacturer’s catalogue. I don’t know if this will work for your supplier, but this worked for me:
I double clicked on one of the cabinets and under Attributes-Textures, click the colour you want to change. In the Pop-up box, the colour will have a listed CODE, then a DESCRIPTION, then a TEXTURE. On mine, the Texture is the file location in my computer where this texture file is stored. If I hover over it, I can see it in it’s entirety.
I wrote it down, and then followed that file location to find the texture file I want to change.
It’s important to note the height and width of the swatch in pixels, and the format. Mine is jpeg. I then opened the file in MS PAINT, changed the colour, then saved it over the old.
I rarely do it this way, as we are often using multiple catalogues in each design, which means I have to change the texture file for that colour in ALL the catalogues. Also, this supplier releases new 2020 catalogues very regularly, so everytime they release a new catalogue, I have to do the whole thing again.
Much easier to build a folder of custom textures meant specifically for this supplier and just change each design using Global Attributes.
Cheers,
Ariana
