I am trying to place an item list that has nothing but the calculated values for the trim items on a page with the legend, but every time I try to insert the list, 2020 either crashes, or nothing shows up in the frame.

Today I am noticing that no calculated items show up when I insert the generic “calculated items” list either. The items show up, but the calculated values and the prices do not.

I looked through the display settings and everywhere I can think to look. They show up in list view, but not on the drawing layout. I have been battling this problem for 2 days now. Please tell me that I’m doing something wrong and that 2020 is capable of this.

Hi Catherine,

If the program is crashing while adding the Items List to your Drawing Layout then its possible there may be an issue with the file or the program. To test this out, you can see if another design works or not. If it does work then there is something wrong with the file itself. If it doesn’t work, then the issue could be the program. If the issue is the program, I would suggest running maintenance and then test out the program once more. Click HERE to see how to run maintenance.

Well it seems that I can’t make it crash today..

But the calculated items still do not show up. I also tried a different kit file, and got the same result. No crash, but no item list.

Is there a setting somewhere that makes calculated items invisible on drawing layouts? (They are visible in the item list)

After talking to support, and finally replicating the crash, they determined that the function is broken and will require a patch.

Luckily it sounded like I spoke to the right one to get it in the queue to be fixed!
