Crown molding profile in elevation

Does anyone know if there is a way to show the crown molding profile in the elevation drawing?  I have my preferences set to show 3D objects in elevation but the crown is still just a stupid green box, straight line.   I know I can use the presentation/front view to do this, but then all the dimensions are gone.  Wondering if I can have my cake and eat it too….  With 2020, probably not.  Never had an issue with this using Planit.

      Hi Dan,

Unfortunately the crown moulding details are not available in the elevations.  You know the work around so all I can say is:  “No Cake for You” or was that soup? 🙂

      Thank you

      Neil

      Hi Dan,

You can change the print mode to Hidden to allow the crown detail to show in elevations. I have attached a quick example, but this crown didn’t have that much detail,

<p style=”text-align: left;”> May seem like a stupid question, but how do you change print mode?</p>
       Thanks !

      Dan,

Go to File>Print>Print Preview>Selection>(select which elevation) EL3>Print Mode>Hidden. Now you can print to PDF and the crown should show. Just be sure to change back to Work Area for your Floor Plan prints.

ironic you can do a side elevation that shows molding profiles, but not on a standard elevation
