ParticipantI need to create a curved wall as part of my design, and I can’t figure out how to do that. In searching the forums I found a mention of that option in the room catalog but I don’t see it. I feel like this should be a pretty standard feature, any help?
Thanks!

Danny SteigerPilot ProYou can do it in Sketchup and import it (version 2014, I believe?), but you won’t get any placement zones and rendering will likely not be very happy with you. To my knowledge that’s the only way to do it, but if anyone else has a way that works I would love to know.

Neil WilsonParticipantHi Mendel,
There are curved “walls” in the room catalog under architectural elements, wall/ceiling. There are concave and convex walls. The only problem is that they are not true walls. They are just user shapes so they have no placement zones.

ParticipantThank you both! In this case I don’t need a placement zone so the concave wall will work for me, but I hope that they can add that as a future feature.

Danny SteigerPilot ProCool, I wasn’t aware of that either. Thanks Neil!

Mike LangensiepenPilot ProHere’s a little tutorial I wrote on creating curved walls and a workaround for the placement zones. I think the ‘draw arc’ option is broken in V11 but as mentioned, you can use the existing curved walls in the room catalog.
