I have seen this posted before and I could not find a solution on the forums.  The drawing layout tool is TERRIBLE.  Always has been.  Usually have to use powerpoint instead, but I need to start using drawing layout for efficiency.  But it is NOT EFFICIENT.  I have the following issues.

• after I spend a lot of time setting up the page and save as a template, I go to create new tab and open my saved template and half the items are missing.  Several text boxes and several borders.  I have saved it a dozen times.
• you can NOT copy / paste when in drawing layout (this USE to be a feature why would you take out such an important tool)
• you can NOT rotate frames.  It would be nice to be able to add an image to a frame and be able to right click and rotate the image.  I need this for logos running vertically on my page
• I need the option to line text up on center with text box.  You only have a left or right alignment.  Please add center alignment so my title block with logo can be centered correctly.  This is the same on the floor plan and elevations.  I need center alignment when doing multiple lines.  right and left alignment does not look good on floor plans for multiple lines.

Thank you! This is great feedback. We will investigate the Saved template & Copy Paste issue and prioritize them for an upcoming release. An agent might contact you soon.

This is the first time I get the request to rotate and center align text. I agree with you these could be helpful. I have captured this request and will follow-up on it.

I’m afraid most users have either abandoned the idea, didn’t know how to use the layout editor or have just adapted to using a pdf editor for all the notes. Every good designer I’ve seen makes detailed notes in different angles, font sizes and yes aligned in the box.

The whole layout editor does need a major overhaul. It doesn’t need thousands of options but having the most important ones we use and depend on every day would be amazing to have.
