Please forgive me if I missed this –

My Quote/reports in V11 are not printing out the Notes I have made in the Attributes of various cabinets.  This is a big deal – as one of our main cabinet manufacturers get ALL their instructions from us regarding the MODDING of cabinets in the Notes of the Attributes.

How do I turn this on?

Hi Ariana,

That was a bug with one of the older builds of v11.  If you upgrade to version 11.10 it has been resolved.

As an alternate you can go into the cabinet’s attributes and instead of putting in a note change the description and the note will appear where the description usually does.

Old?  We downloaded v11 from 2020.net last month…. how recent is 11.10?

Is there somewhere in v11 where I can check what version I have?

Hi Ariana,

Older is relative 🙂  I think it was version 11.8 or 11.9.  You can check your build by going to file – help – about 2020 design and it will show you 2020 Design and in brackets your build number.  For example: 2020 Design(11.10.1.1).

We do have 11.10.  I can only get pricing AND item notes to both appear if I choose “Order Form” under reports, rather than “Quote” – but this is not ideal.  Every single modification to every single cabinet then appears on the report.  Very, very often I make mods to cabinets ONLY for pretty – often because we will be getting the installer to modify them onsite – so I don’t want the mods I made to be printed out on the report.

Mods I WANT the cabinet company to make – are detailed in the Notes section.

At this point, it looks like I’m stuck printing out the “Order Form” report, then going through all the pages with white-out to get rid of the record of the pretty mods I did – then scanning the report to send it.

That’s pretty weird.  I attached a pic of part of my v11.10 quote with notes and pricing. (And you might notice I failed to spell note in the test 🙁 ) Is that what you are looking for?

I’m going to do a restart…. maybe it was the catalogue?

If yours does it – and we’re working in the same build – then I should be able to do it.
