Version 14 – Feedback?

I’m looking for feedback on v14 before we update our systems here.  Can anyone say if there have been some great improvements or potential issues that would help our decision to wait or change?

For reference, we are on v13.8.  Since we updated to that from v13.6 we have been experiencing so many issues with the cloud.  I feel like those issues may not be fixed, but looking for extra guidance on the differences between the versions.

      Thanks in advance!

I’m using it now, and it seems fine. One nice thing is it doesn’t replace 13, it installs as a separate program, so you can leave 13 installed and use it if 14 starts acting up.

The cloud still doesn’t work, but the cloud has been getting steadily more broken with every version, so that’s not surprising at all.

Thanks.  We are on 13.8 so our cloud is already broken and we can’t go back to where it wasn’t as bad. haha.

Have there been any changes you’ve liked moving to 14?

I have been on Version 14 for a few weeks now and I am so disappointed with it. The quick-access toolbar buttons are smaller and harder to see now. I have to say that my biggest complaint though is with the cloud items. Now, they have made it so that every item has a minimum and maximum for the sizes you can make it (example: I used to be able to take a 30″ wide mirror and change it to 72″ wide to go over a very large double vanity, but now the maximum may only be 50″ wide). Also, I cannot seem to alter the color/texture of any cloud items anymore. Unless they have just put this option somewhere I cannot find, I believe it is now gone. Even old designs that I am bringing up in the new version have to have cloud items “updated,” and when I update them, it alters the finish/sizes back to standard, so it is actually changing my old designs.

I also called support to find out if they could help me move my old catalogs onto V.14 and was told that they couldn’t and I would have to manually re-download every single catalog. It took me hours.

I cannot understand how 2020 can continue to go up $200 every year to renew your subscription, and then, if anything, it becomes less user friendly and more of a hassle, rather than making my life easier.

        My advice – don’t download V.14.

Yes, I have the same complaints with the Cloud.  It’s AWFUL.  I regret even changing to 13.8 which forced us into the new cloud version.  We are dealing with constant issues where it can’t even load.   I hate to hear they haven’t fixed this yet in V14.  I appreciate the feedback.

Hi there. I wouldn’t upgrade it if i had a choice. But soon enough you will have to upgrade it. As other softwares they will stop supporting the old version. So go for it and upgrade to get used to it.

<span style=”font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%;”>Run 3</span> plays to its strengths by putting players in a busy, lively world that takes them to space and has stunning graphics. As you race and explore through rigid, star-filled tunnels, the lively sound effects help you lose yourself in the action.
