This is a previous answer from Neil:
“It sounds like the design info screen is coming up behind the other windows.  To fix it all you need to do is go into your Maintenance tools and select 2020 Design Registry Reset.  That should fix it but be aware that it sets the program back to its default settings so any changes you made to things like preferences, the quick bar and sorting of catalogs will have to be redone.”

The alternative is to connect a second screen again and then move the ‘missing’ window back onto your laptop screen then disconnecting the second screen. This will accomplish the same thing but without the hassle of a registry reset.

I also recommend downloading my free ‘Settings Saver’ script so if you have to do a registry reset at any point, you can get your settings back quickly. You run the script once 2020 Design is in a perfect working condition.

Save to your desktop, run and then choose B for Backup and answer Y to the next 2 questions – it’s pretty self explanatory. The script is in use with most of my (30+ Designers) and they have yet to have an issue with it but use at your own risk.
