Hey Chris,
I’ve gone all the way back to 9.1 and it’s always the same thing. It lets you adjust the depth in attributes but nothing changes on the floor plan or in the renderings. As far as I know the surface behind the hole work around is the only way to do it. It’s what I’ve always done.
