We’ve done somthing similar but all we do is save the original design files in a subdirectory with sensible names to describe them then we use ‘insert 20-20 file’ to bring them into a new drawing.
We delete the original walls, group everything together and then save them.
The other option would be the Ideas Centre which I haven’t really played with but looks ideal for what you want.
