I agree with you all to a degree. This year was obnoxious.
My team has 10+ licenses, so you can imagine the expense.
However, there is not a day that I don’t have the program open, and despite it’s flaws, it is currently the best for what I need to do. We also have ProKitchen licenses, and I use it as well, along with Sketch-Up, AutoCAD, and I’m aware of how Chief Architect functions.
When you consider the price of a license, and break it out per month or even per week – it’s less than many of us would spend on coffee per week.
And definitely less than most of America spends on cable/internet/streaming/prime.
There is definitely a trend in the industry where we feel like we can’t charge more for our services, and sometimes I think that hurts us. For me, I’m looking to where I can make my processes more efficient on day-to-day with pre-planning of forms, templates, etc so that I can utilize my design time to the max – and end up with better plans, less issues in my layout come install, etc.
