Hi Jon,
As Roger mentioned workbox.dll is usually related to printer driver issues. You can test this by creating a new generic text only printer and setting it as the default printer.
– Go to device and printers then add a new printer.
– Add a local printer.
– Use the existing port.
– Select Generic for manufacturer and Generic / Text Only as the printer then click next.
– Do not share (this shouldn’t matter).
– Set it as the default printer then click finish.
Once that is done open 2020 Design, go into preferences from the File menu. Open the menu for overall settings and select the Generic printer as your default printer. Restart the program and hopefully that will resolve the issue.
As Roger also mentioned, resetting the registries and basic maintenance may help. Note that resetting the registries will also reset your preferences including the default printer, you will need to reselect your preferences.
To reset the 2020 registries in version9.1:
– Open 2020 Maintenance tools.
– Click on internal tools.
– Click on register 2020 files (If you get any errors during this process, do not continue to the next step and call tech support instead).
– If the files register without error messages and where the file names where it not displays finished. You can click delete 2020 reg.
– It will prompt you “do you want to continue?” Click yes.
– Restart 2020 Design. Make sure you put back the Generic printer as the default printer.
If the crashing continues, I would recommend calling our tech support team to further assist you.
Hope that helps.
