      Hello,

Does anyone know how to create a skylight in the 2020 design software?

I saw that design fusion has it and it is fairly simple to do but in the 2020 design software, I had to pull a skylight from Sketch-up and add clouds texture using surface and drawing it in.

There has to be a simpler way to do this.

I know there is the  Generic catalog/Architectural elements/wall /ceiling/Angled ceiling w/skylight but I did not need it with an angle and it is so unfriendly to use I found the Sketch-up option faster to handle.

Can 2020 kitchen design add a skylight that is simple to implement into designs? maybe in the cloud 2020 decorative items?

      Just a thought …

      Thanks.

      Hi Einav,

The skylight in the ROOM catalog can be made flat by changing its Height to ‘0’ in the attributes field. You can also change the quantity of windows and where the window is. See in the image below, I have made the ceiling straight with one window in the center of the ceiling. To change where the window is placed, open Attributes and go to Variables.. you can change the “Starting Height of Skylight” to have it placed more in the center.

      Hope this helps!

      Regards,

      Kris
