Is it possible to add another criteria to the ‘annotate by’ feature?

If you could annotate by Item Description, this would make the drawings so much easier to interpret for the customer.

I currently have to write out each annotation on the plans and elevations to show the customer where their sink is, where the dishwasher is, where the oven is, where the pull outs are etc. etc.

I takes so long and with this one simple addition it could be so much quicker.

      Hi Mike,

Can I just check if you are already using the ‘Save User-Defined Annotations’ feature? This allows you to only have to type a repeatedly used annotation once, then save it for recall and reuse at a later date. It is not exactly what you have asked for, but it is available now in our currently supported versions. There is even the ability to share user annotation across a number of users all using the same solution. Feel free to contact Support for further details of how these functions work, if you are not already familiar with them.

      Hi Jim,

Thanks for getting back to me. Yes, I have used the ‘user defined’ feature. It’s handy for things that don’t have a code, such as notes to builder etc. But it’s a bit clunky to try and write out descriptions for all the relevant items and then go in and try to find them every time you want to use them. I find myself just writing them out anyway.

      Hi Mike,

OK, thanks for clarifying. It is an interesting idea which I am happy to explore further and add to our list of future enhancement candidates.

      Regards,

      Jim
