Big Screen TV Presentations – a great and inexpensive solution

I’ve been playing with a great and inexpensive way of improving big screen TV presentations. We’ve been rolling out cheap 50 & 55″ TVs to the designers as presenting on these is having a substantial effect on sales. Currently the designers just take their notebook to the TV areas and plug in via HDMI but if the TV has a current version of Android or even if it doesn’t you can improve on this inexpensively and go wireless.

We have started using a $50 Android TV box off eBay to display a slideshow of kitchen pics when not in use by the Designers. The nice thing about this Android box is that it comes with a free and simple piece of software that allows your PC to mirror a screen to the Android box with only 1 mouse click and as soon as you have finished your presentation, another mouse click restores the slideshow.

The Android software is called AirPin and is from Waxrain.com. You will need the PC Sender software as well. The Android TV box I am using comes with the software and is the Mecool unit running  Android 7.1 with 2GB RAM and 16GB store so you can get a fair few pictures on there before having to resort to adding SD or USB storage. The slideshow software is Digital Photo Frame but there are many others.

55″ 4K TVs can cost as little as $450 (Aldi) so AU$500 can get you everything!
