Can an executable be embedded to 2020 Insight?

  Hi there,
  
  we have an executable to process the inventory allocation, and want to integrate it with 2020 2020 insight. could you provide the solution for below?
  
  1. is it possible to make it done? would it be an exe or a dll that can be integrated to 2020 insight?
  
  2. if possible, can the exe / dll get the current user info who is using insight?
  
  3. is there any guidance?
