Can you run v10 and v11 at the same time?

      Hello,

I tried to install 2020 v11 in a PC which already had v10 installed and I got a warning regarding v11 overwriting files for v10. Is it possible to install v10 and v11 at the same time? Thanks.

      Hi Marcos,

Unfortunately there is no way to have 10 and 11 on the same machine.  They share file paths and registry entries so one will always overwrite the other,

It is possible but not easy – you would have to set up a Virtual Machine and run V10 on this Virtual Machine (in effect having V10 on a simulated computer that runs on your main computer). The software is free but unless you are reasonably IT literate, you would be better paying someone to set it up for you.

Another way would be to pick up a really cheap PC from somewhere and use that (maybe network the 2 together). You would have to be careful not to lock your USB key out and in both this and the above scenario, you could only run 1 version at a time with a single key.
