I’m trying to access CAP catalogs to import symbols into my drawing.
Can you tell me the process to navigate to this?
Where do I access “Explorer” or similar to obtain CAP symbols?

Hi Sharon,
2020 Cap Complete uses the Explorer to insert product just like CAP does. Is the Explorer not visible for you? There is a button on the toolbar that makes the explorer visible if you can’t see it. There is also one on the toolbar. Please see the attached screenshot for locations. If you can’t see the Explorer, please let me know. Can you attach a screenshot of your Cap Complete screen?

Hi Sharon. On the “2020 Office” ribbon there should be an icon that says “Explorer”. It looks like a compass. This should turn the Content Explorer on and off.

Thank you.Β Our IT folks were able to connect the CAP files.Β Up until that point, there was not a 2020 Office tab and no icon that looks like a compass.

So you are seeing what you should now? Are you able to insert products?
Thanks,
Cindy

Yes, I can see all the catalogs and can pull symbols from various manufacturers now.
I think we may have missed a step with loading the CAP files along with the CAP Complete Pilot.
Thanks!

OK good! Let us know if you have any other questions. You should find 2020 Cap Complete very similar to 2020 Cap. Happy Piloting! π
