Mike LangensiepenPilot ProHi all,
Just had one of my V11 Designers get a message “The file you are trying to open is not compatible with 2020 Design” – he had worked on this drawing late yesterday and was supposed to present this morning. He only has V11 on his PC.
I confirmed that V11 wouldn’t open the .KIT OR the .BAK nor would it insert into a new drawing so I thought that was it but decided to try opening it in V12 and it worked! I was able to print off plans, elevations and renders.
Might be a useful thing to try for some of you out there with corrupt V11 files.

Neil WilsonParticipantHey Mike,
Thanks for the tip. Just for my personal knowledge were there any periods or special characters in the file name? I’ve seen that error a couple of times but there has always been a “.” in the file name. I’m just looking for a link.

Mike LangensiepenPilot ProHi Neil,
Thanks for the reply. Nope, sorry – the file name was a simple “this is my name.kit”
If I don’t speak to you before – have a great holiday!
Cheers,
Mike
