Does anyone have a list of the hardware images? Support told me they don’t exist?? Probably more importantly, is there a 2020 manual that explains how to set up all the default settings? For example, is it possible to change all the outdated appliances from white to another color or is that catalog specific? Is it the manufacturer catalogs that control this and what type of hardware show up on cabinets or can these be changed in global attributes somehow?

Does anyone know if there are any real plans to overhaul the default catalogs? Windows, Doors, Hardware, Fireplaces, Sinks, Faucets, Trim, plumbing fixtures etc….??

      Hi Travis,

There is currently no manual for 2020 Design as we no longer produce manuals for 2020 Design.  You can however, now find similar information available to you in our widespread help files (within 2020 Design) using the search feature.  You can also find much information in our Knowledge Center where we have a database of beneficial articles you can sift through.  Here is the link to the Knowledge Center:

Attributes like texture and hardware come out of the catalogs.

For the request for updated items in the catalogs, there is currently a pretty good wish list thread going ( I think you are already in it :)) and that would be a great place to bring that up because I know it has the attention of the Devs.

      Hey Travis!

The appliances etc that come from specific manufacturers do not have changeable attributes (as, I guess, they want their products represented as they really are) so I download stuff from SketchUp, or modify the generic 2020 stuff, or jerry-rig my own by using “parts” from other catalogues or combining Cloud stuff – then save them in a kit file of “Customized Products”.  I find that any changes you make – especially  to textures – do not survive a stint in Idea Centre.

Some items take a little time to create initially – like my “modern” sharp-edged sink – but then you have it in your kit file to use again.
