Dimensions disappearing/not showing up

Since installing the latest version. I’ve noticed when I create an elevation and start to manipulate the dimensions under display settings other dimensions disappear. For instance, I unchecked countertop dimensions and then the lengths of my cabinets disappear, even though they are checked to be visible. I literally have to do one of two things to get them back, create new elevations (which is a pain if I have made numerous notes on the elevations) or I have to right click on every cabinet, go into display settings for each individual cabinet and select length. It’s time consuming either way. My floor plan dimensions are missing half the time as well. My co-workers have been having the same issues.

      Hi Willesa,

Would it be possible to send us a design file in which you are experiencing the issue and a set of detailed steps so we can reproduce the issue here?  That would be a tremendous help and help us to resolve the issue.  You can send it to residentialsupport@2020spaces.com to my attention and I’ll make sure it gets to the people who can fix it 🙂

      Thank you

      Neil

      Hi Neil,

I’ve had this happen a couple of times with some of my Designers. Unfortunately I didn’t save the original files but the workaround was to copy and paste the design to a new blank design.

      Ctrl A to select all

Ctrl C to copy all selected

Open a new blank design and hit enter (to get out of wall drawing mode)

Ctrl V to paste the design and click to drop it.

And all the measurements turn up again!

Unfortunately, I have tried that and it still doesn’t work.

      Hi Mike/Willesa,

I looked at the design and most of the cabinets have the dimensions turned off.  I’m assuming that is because of attempts to get them to show.  I tried the copy/paste idea and it didn’t work for that file.

It might be happening because of changes made to your scheme(s).  You can get the original schemes back by reinstalling the software (or upgrading to the latest version if you haven’t already).  You could also give us a call at 1-866-697-2020 and one of our techs could copy them directly to your computer.  Also if you give us a call we can take a firsthand look at the issue.

      Hey again guys,

So some research has discovered that it is in fact an issue with the version.  There are 2 .dll files that need to be updated/replaced .  We have already done it for Willesa but we had to connect to her computer to copy over the files so if you are looking here because you are experiencing a similar issue please give a call at 1-866-697-2020 and we will be able to copy over the files and resolve the issue for you.

      Thanks
