Ariana ThompsonParticipantHey folks!
Is there a trick to DIMMING the light coming in from a window without turning it off?
Currently, I put an “extra pane of glass” made from a CUBE textured in Glass-Waterstained 1 and that helps a lot – but it’s fiddly work. A Dimmer would be amazing if it exists…
Cheers,
Ariana

Neil WilsonParticipantHi Ariana,
That is an amazing tip. Thanks. I always just changed the light colour of the light to black. As for the dimmer, there currently isn’t one in the program. Sorry.

Ariana ThompsonParticipantThanks Neil,
I was hoping! I often want *some* light coming in for realism, but especially for white cabinets – the default blaze of light that comes in from a window can be too much and just washes out all the cabinet door detail.
Maybe on the next version, eh?

ParticipantHi Ariana,
I do what Neil does, except I don’t go all the way to black. I try different shades of gray to get it dimmed just right.

Ariana ThompsonParticipantOkay.
I JUST tried this, Jordyn – and you are officially a GENIUS!
Tinting the light to a grey doesn’t even skew the cabinet colour – it just softens the intensity!
What a simple, elegant, solution! Thanks so much!
