DSNER_M and Blum Drawers

    • September 17, 2018 at 2:22 am #203856

Hi Neil (or any techie at 2020),

I notice that we are unable to open the Blum drawers in this catalogue but CAN open non-Blum ones. Do you know if this will be fixed in future or do you have another workaround?

      Thanks

      Mike

      Hey Mike,

Thanks for the heads up.  I’ll let the powers that be know.  Would it be possible to get a path to the cabinets we are talking about?  I’m not at all familiar with DSNER catalogs.

Especially that weirdo metric stuff. PFFT! Base 10.  Who doesn’t base their measurements off the body parts of their ancient rulers from systems of government that they don’t even have any more?  I mean really.  🙂

      Hi Neil,

The DSNER_M catalogue gets installed when you add in dfm_designercatalogues_09_04_2015.zip off 2020.net

Lol @ Metric! Yeah I mean how much easier is it measuring in 32nds of an inch compared to 0.1mm!

      Mike,

How do you open the drawers in the other catalogs?

      Sorry Mike,

I meant the path within the catalog.  Like DSNER_M\catagories\base cabinets\…

      Karlie,

in the cabinet’s attributes\variables there should be a setting, usually a slider, that lets you open doors/drawers.

      Hi Neil,

      I’m afraid I can’t find a CATAGORIES path but I can find a CATEGORIES path  😎

      Example path is DSNER_M/Categories/Base/Base 2 Drawers/Base 2 Drawers w/Blum acc-2, 40 – 120/BNC2N100. Path to .KIT file:

      https://www.dropbox.com/s/ib0h0sy8yq2les8/DSNER_M-Blum.kit?dl=0

These are almost exactly what we would like to see in our catalogue (we use Blum exclusively) but it would be nice if we could open the drawers to show Orgaline inserts etc.

      Hey Mike,

My catalog does not include that path….  I can search for and find the BNC2N100 but I can’t open the drawers.  It seems the shape won’t allow it.  It’s how the cabinet is coded and it would be up to BLUM to request the change.

A pity – I think most Blum based cabinetmakers would be happy to have access to a fully working Blum based catalogue!
