"Encountered an Improper Argument"

  Today’s problem is I was trying to create a surface, and I got a “Encountered and Improper Argument” pop-up. I can’t get it to close, I can’t Save, or even Close 20-20.
  
  Anyone know what to do?

  Solved….
  
  I was able to open a different file from my dock. With the other file open I could go to close the program, and save my file.
