Is there a way to import a PDF or Image file into the background of 2020Design? That way I can trace or copy an existing building plan. Without having to use a 3rd source to get dimensions/layout?

Hi Jared,

Unfortunately there is no option to add an image or pdf to the floor plan. At this time, you can import .dxf, .dwg, .xml, .skp, and .json.

To find the import option in Design, you can go to File > Import…> From Local Storage.

I have never done this before… I just tried it. Is it just an image that you can trace, or is there anything else you can do with it?

Hi Steve,

You would have the ability to trace a .dxf or .dwg file that you would import to your plan but there isn’t much more you can do with it.
