Installing v9 and v11 on same box error

      I have installed both versions on a test machine. V11 runs fine but V9 won’t run and has the error “Automation error, Interface not registered.” Does anyone know what I did wrong? Is there a specific set of instructions for the process of installing multiple copies?

      Hi JP,

       

      most time you will be able to install v9 and v11 and they will both work without any additional changes. In your case it seems that the v9 files need to be registered. To do so:

       

      – Open v9 maintenance tools (can be found in your shortcut bar).

      – Go to internal tools.

      – Click on register 2020 files.

       

       

       

      That should do it, if you get an error message that says unexpected error, you will have to do a few more steps.

       

       

       

      – Go to C:\Program files (x86)

      – 2020 Technologies

      – Mswin

      – 60

       

      Right click the following files and go to properties, then compatibility, and in privilege level set the program to run as administrator.

       

      – CatManager.exe

      – Design.exe

      – MaintenanceTools.exe

      – SCBar.exe

      – TTProject.exe

       

       

       

      Once the files are set to run as admin try to register the 2020 files again.

       

      You should now be able to open v9.
