the Ceiling light – recessed spot does not appear to have any light emitting from it. You can see both the intensity and profile are grayed out and cannot change. Has anyone else encountered this?

Hi Sandra !
We understand the Cloud lighting fixtures should have the same type of controls as the lights of our generic catalogs. We will augment the Cloud lighting capabilities in a future release of 2020 Design.
For now, we can assist you to find a similar ceiling lighting from the file based catalog, just send me your email address at Residentialsupport@2020spaces.com
Cheers !

Another option is to use standard lighting pucks, move them to where the bulbs would be in the light fitting and change all the textures to Glass, Transparent. The light is still there but you won’t see the puck anymore.
Also the free UNDRGRND catalogue has a bunch of invisible lighting for just this purpose.
Once you have the light fitting and invisible lights the way you want them, group them together and save them in a room decoration KIT file for simple copy and paste options.

Another trick with the Pucks is that you can go to Attributes, Variables and switch the default “YES” to “NO” for 3d.
No means you do not want it to render in 3d. It will still emit light, and you’ll see it on the floorplan – but it won’t render.
Also – remember you can use Horizontal and Vertical in the Variables to point the puck anywhere – even dead level with itself – (just not up) – so if you want to throw light perfectly horizontally to catch the top crown or something – you can.
