My wife was expressing her frustration in the length of time it takes to do certain tasks in 2020. As a computer programmer, I told her that most decent software provides the ability to record macros or exposes an API to aid in automation. I am having trouble finding any information on this for 2020 Design.

I have a keyboard that I can program keystrokes into. The UI for 2020 doesn’t seem to have such basic things as tabbing between fields in certain dialog boxes, etc. Can anyone offer some insight on how to automate routine tasks in 2020? Thanks.

The only thing I can suggest is to use a macro automation tool that allows for mouse positioning via XY coords – the obvious disadvantage to this is it will only work for a certain set screen layout and any changes to the screen layout will mess things up.
