Is there any way of setting “Minimize the Ribbon” as a preference.  My new solid state drive laptop has a smaller screen and I need all the space I can find.  I love being able to customize the Quick Access Bar.  It is saving me a lot of time and is all I really need most of the time.

Hi Lin,

If you right click on the Ribbon a menu should popup with the option to minimise the ribbon.  Select that and it should minimise and stay that way until you switch it back.

The ribbon stays minimized until I open another design or close and reopen 2020.  Even if I save a design with the ribbon minimized, the ribbon is there in all its glory when I reopen the design.

It is the same result if I right-click on the ribbon or if I select “minimize” from the drop-down menu.

Hmm, it sounds like something rewriting or protecting your registry entries.  The first thing I would try is to reset your 2020 Design registries from the maintenance tools and see if it sticks after resetting the registries.  After that look into what might be guarding your registries.  Admin rights, system policies, antivirus software etc…
