Controlling an item’s visibility in Visual Impression allows the user to hide items to improve the view or to limit what is in the scene without changing the source drawing or worksheet. Visibility is controlled by selecting an item and checking or unchecking the “Visible” checkbox on the current item panel in the bottom right hand corner of the Visual Impression window. Hidden items become visible again for selection by pressing the “Ghost Hidden Items” button on the dashboard, or Show All from the Hide Additional Items arrow on Dashboard. Common uses for hiding items are: making specific areas visible that might be hidden by something in the scene or isolating a specific item for greater clarity regarding changes made to that item.

The Visibility Control feature in Visual Impression is a handy raft wars tool, especially when working with complex scenes or drawings with many components.
