I am having trouble importing some items from Sketch Up. When I click on the item I am selecting the 2014 model but when it comes into my design the coordinates are crazy numbers. I try to adjust them but the item seems to be placed very far away then my screen goes blue. I am not sure if it a issue with the item I’m trying to download but it always happens to the one I need. Anyone have this issue and a solution?

Hi Jessica,

2014 is definitely the prefered model for Sketchup but the quality and consistency of the items varies widely so we always recommend testing the item in a blank design before bringing it into your actual plan.  If the screen goes blue it means something in the item is not agreeing with something in 2020 and should not be used.

The Sketchup import can definitely be problematical but it is worth having a read through this thread: https://www.2020spaces.com/forums/topic/sketchup/

If you aren’t familiar with Sketchup yourself then it may be worth you finding someone who can play with existing models and/or create new ones as required. I’ve used the microjob site fiverr.com for similar things and found the results can be very good (but sometimes have to go through one or more experts).
