Erik TornquistParticipantHeyo!
Although in some ways convenient, I’ve personally never been the biggest fan of the way the Cloud decorative catalog has proven its self. 2 main issues being:1. lights, or any item that showcases some glass, is barely visable. White and glass? forget about it.
2. Issues such as these pictures represent. Searching for an item can be a burden. What’s funny, in this example, is that I know there are round tables in the catalog- we’ve all seen them- but this is what comes up (atleast for me).
3. On a couple of occasions, the cloud browser has, for some reason or another, told me I had been logged out although i’ve clearly been logged in in the program. Is the browser it’s own entity requiring it’s own log in? Just curious and would like to know if there’s something I can do so that I don’t have to shut the program down and load it back up again to fix it.
A
side note: I’ve recently downloaded v.12 and am quite impressed with the speed of rendering- it’s not lightning fast but a big difference compared to previous versions.

Erik TornquistParticipantOk so I think I figured the “round” thing out. Seems the browser has “circular” listed (instead of round) and the only round items in the description are those in the picture- with the one item mis-labeled.

ParticipantHi Erik,
Something you should know about the cloud is that none of the lighting fixtures available there illuminate. We are however trying to make lighting available from the cloud. Not sure when this would be available but we are looking into it.
1. I’ve tested some of the white/glass items in the cloud and they are rendering up quite nicely, if I do say so myself. I’ve added two images below, the first containing a white table, a glass bowl, and a beer mug. The second containing two additional glass tables (with white legs) and one chandelier. I’ve added these other items as well just to show that there are different types of glass textures with different shades.
2. You are correct, we do only have to items one table with the description of “round” so are more likely to find what you are looking for by typing in “circular”.
As for the issue when searching the word “table”.. you do have to scroll through some items to find an actual table. The reason being is that the cloud will not only search for the word “table” itself, it will try to find the word “table” in other words. This is why some of the first items that come up are described to be “adjustable”, “retractable”, or “tablet”.
3. As for the message “logged out” its possible that at the moment you opened the program, it didnt sync to the internet and signed you in “offline”. It is also possible there might be an issue with your cloud and would suggest to call our support if this keeps happening. You can reach us at 1.866.697.2020.

Erik TornquistParticipantHi Kris,
Thank you again for the responses. As for the lighting/glass fixtures in Cloud, I actually meant in the actual Cloud viewing pane, not the rendering- renderings come out nice. It’s hard to see what a fixture looks like going through the list. Picture gives an example of what i mean.

2020 ModeratorHi Erik, we’ll take a look at the thumbnails of the various lights and will definitely make some improvements here. We’ll also ensure that typing ’round’ into the filter provides similar results as for ‘circular’.
Thanks for your feedback

Erik TornquistParticipantHey James, thanks for the reply. As for the round/circular thing goes, that may just be an issue with my ocd- like i said, wasn’t a big deal once I figured out what the issue was. Not sure if it’s something that warrants taking the time & playing around with code since I personally haven’t read anyone else making an issue of it. Regardless, I appreciate the consideration.

2020 ModeratorHi Erik, it’s no problem to do this – it’s really only a very quick change to the catalog. We’ll incorporate it into the next update, hopefully along with the improvements to the thumbnail images.
Thanks, James
