Tech Bulletin: Visual Impression Crash after Windows Update – Hotfix Available
      Date: December 20, 2016
      Applies To: 2020 Visual Impression

Problem: 2020 Visual Impression crashes on some systems after a Windows Security Update released on December 13, 2016. If 2020 Visual Impression was working fine but now crashes after opening and selecting a room shape and your PC recently installed Windows updates, then this is likely the problem.

Cause: Windows 7 –  Security Update for Microsoft Windows (KB3207752) or Windows 8.1 – Security Update for Microsoft Windows (KB3205401) or Windows 10 –  Security Update for Microsoft Windows (KB3206632)

Solution: 2020 has released a Hotfix to correct this issue. Please note that for this Hotfix to work you need to be running version 12.20 (2016.2) of the software.

How To Verify Your Installed Software Version

      1. In 2020 Worksheet open the Help menu and select “About 20-20 Worksheet…”
      2. The Version Information box should read “12.20 (build 10217)”.

If your software version is lower than 12.00, please follow these steps to update:

      1. Close all your 2020 software applications.
      2. Download and install 2020 Commercial Software v2016 (v12.00) Full Version.
      3. Download and install 2020 Commercial Software v2016.3 (v12.30) Update.

If your software version is 12.00 or 12.10, please follow these steps to update:

      1. Download and install 2020 Commercial Software v2016.3 (v12.30) Update.
