Hi,

Can anyone help me with getting a velux window to recess into a sloped ceiling?

It used to work on previous versions but since verison 5 it doesn’t seem to work. I’ve gone back and followed several tutorial videos to do it but nothing seems to work.

Always adding it in elevation, the velux window is above the bottom of the sloped ceiling, the wall is set at 300 deep, hold down Ctrl drag the window down but it doesn’t recess. I can see through the window fine but it’s not recessed into the wall.

What am I missing?

Hi Sian

To achieve the recess when adding a Velux, please set the wall depth to 300 and then when adding the Velux window while in elevation view, please drag and drop the Velux window into the wall first (so it picks up the depth first), then drag and move it into position on the sloped ceiling.
