      Windows 10 v1803 Breaks 2020 Cap’s Security Device Detection

      Issue Summary

Microsoft Windows 10 update v1803 (April 2018 Update), released this week, breaks 2020 Cap’s ability to recognize the USB security device. If a customer updates their Windows to 1803 they will get the soft key/2020 Cloud Login screen when trying to launch 2020 Cap, even if they have USB security device inserted. Other 2020 products are not affected.

      Fix Availability

2020 is treating this issue as an urgent priority and is planning to provide a fix in the 2020 Office Software 2018 release, due to ship to customers later this month.

Note: There is a risk that this issue cannot be fixed for AutoCAD 2019 in time for the 2020 Office Software 2018 release. We encourage those planning to use AutoCAD 2019 to downgrade to the earlier Windows version until you receive a notification of a fix from 2020.
