I’m drawing a reception desk which will sit atop an 8″ raised platform. I used the floor obstruction element to create my raised platform in VI. I’m able to change the Z height on all of my components, connectors, etc. in my AutoCad drawing using the Change 3D height tool, however it will not change the 3D height of my panel configurations. What gives?

      Hello Jenifer,

I did some testing with the Change 3D Height command and there does seem to be an issue when used on a Panel Builder object.   I did find a work around for this issue.   If I convert the panel to 3D in the drawing and use the Change 3D Height command on the 3D version of the panel it elevates correctly and has the correct elevation in Visual Impression.

I’ve notified our QA team about this issue so they may review it and get it corrected.  Thank you.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

I did try this, and while the panel config did elevate to the correct height in my AutoCad drawing, it reverted back to “0” height in Visual Impression. If it matters, I’m using Allsteel Stride.

I ended up having to explode the panel configs, and change the 3D height on all the frames & tiles individually.
