Principal Kitchens brings together the very best kitchen solutions from around the world to create a stunning range of modular kitchens. It offers Australian-made cabinets and benchtops, a variety of hardware, soft-close drawers and Italian soft-close hinges as standard, and a 10-year warranty on cabinetry and doors.
Independent Hardware Group (IHG) is the power behind independent and family-run retail brands such as Mitre 10, Home Hardware, Thrifty-Link and True Value. It has a combined network of over 730 branded stores and a wholesale network that supplies to over 1,500 stores.
Challenges and objectives
The Independent Hardware Group’s previous design solution had some limitations in terms of loading time, usability and renders. It did not give the design experience their customers and designers expected, resulting in frustration and possibly lost sales.
The retailer wanted to switch to an easy-to-use and fast loading online consumer engagement solution in order to enhance awareness of and access to the Principal Kitchens brand in the Australian modular kitchen market.

Principal Kitchens implemented 2020 Ideal Spaces as their collaborative online design solution. With its local servers, high-quality renderings, program support and usability for customers and designers alike, it was a great fit for their business and future within the industry.
