Please, please, please give us control over the numbering system.
2 months ago, I had to make some changes to an order after I’d placed it with my cabinet vendor. Making those changes in 2020 caused the program to renumber the legend and the order forms, so it was nearly impossible to cross reference everything.
I spent a full day highlighting, cross checking, and sweating bullets. I thought I got it right.
I didn’t. I missed a finished side and an end panel. Now that the cabinets have arrived, I have a hot mess I have to figure out, and a cranky customer, and an annoyed contractor, and I look like a bumbler. I don’t enjoy looking like a bumbler.
So please, allow us to control the numbering.
