The appliances etc that come from specific manufacturers do not have changeable attributes (as, I guess, they want their products represented as they really are) so I download stuff from SketchUp, or modify the generic 2020 stuff, or jerry-rig my own by using “parts” from other catalogues or combining Cloud stuff – then save them in a kit file of “Customized Products”. I find that any changes you make – especially to textures – do not survive a stint in Idea Centre.
Some items take a little time to create initially – like my “modern” sharp-edged sink – but then you have it in your kit file to use again.
