1. Our program is forward compatible but not backwards compatible. If a user in version 11 tried to open a file from 12, it will not work. So if one designer is updating to version 13 and no one else is on version 13, then you will experience the issue. Design and Design Live are the same programs, the addition of ‘Live’ simply means they are using a ‘Live’ license. Just make sure all the designers are either on version 12 or version 13 and none of them should have issues!
2. Very good question to ask. The answer is no, you wouldn’t have to manually reinstall your catalogs as we now have a tool that you can use to easily move your catalogs from the version 12 to the version 13.
