Sounds like all good ideas – however – I haven’t had luck importing SketchUp items. Either I can’t find something I want (like a pendant light) or something goes wrong importing it. I haven’t tried in a while so don’t remember my specific problems. I would LOVE to be able to bring in lighting and window treatments from Sketch Up! Where can I look for instructions on using this with 2020?

I always use Custom Material Wizard to make the counter top match the customer’s selection, but when I do this for patterned back splash tiles or flooring, they never come out just right – even using ‘seamless’ textures. Is that what you meant by ‘mapping’ them? Is there somewhere we can find detailed instructions for using all of the features of that WIZARD to customize textures? Such as – how to pick the correct size when asked? And how to use the tools inside the WIZARD program to get the best image?

For the windows, help me understand you exactly – I view the outside of the wall, add a surface rectangle and then use Wizard to import a photograph of an actual scene? Or use the City or other backgrounds provided in 2020? (I really don’t care for the ones in the catalogs.) I have also had trouble with the SURFACE tool when I use it for back splash that has to go around windows and objects. I will draw my shape, then go back to look at it through the camera and if I need to edit it, I can edit it, but then the surface disappears. Frustrating. I appreciate your getting back to me so quickly and hope you can point me toward a place to get detailed directions for using these features. Lori
