Hey Dean,
It sounds like the catalog database in on your server. The first thing to try would be to take 1 machine and switch it back to the local file path (C:\ProgramData\20-20 Technologies\Cat\Common\) and see if the attributes still open slowly locally. If they open faster locally it is likely a network issue.
