Topic: Ceiling – Dome or Cathedral

Anyone have any tips for creating a Domed Ceiling or a Cathedral ceiling?
For the domed ceiling I have tried the Underground catalog’s Barrel Vaulted ceiling and that works alright for a rounded ceiling but my salesman would like a circular dome in the middle of a room and I just can’t figure that one out.
I have done cathedral ceilings before, but it becomes a problem when I have 2 rooms sharing a wall and only 1 side is a cathedral. Without creating a 2nd wall for the non-cathedral room I get all sorts of craziness with the ceiling.
Creating a 2nd wall leads to it’s own set of problems with measurements and corners, so I like to avoid that if I can.

Hi,
I am trying to use boxes to create different views out of different windows from the room but I do not seem to be able to get the images to stretch to fit the box on 2020 fusion, it pretty much automatically did it on 2020 design. Does any one have any tips/ideas to overcome it – It does not make any sense to have the same view out of every window!! And the boxes make multiples of my photos so does not work atleast not thus far! Thanks
The resolution of images created by 2020 Visual Impression is dependent on the display resolution of the computer and the size of the Visual Impression window at the time the image is captured. For example, I am using 2020 Visual Impression with a 1080P monitor with a maximum display resolution of 1920×1080. This is the highest resolution my snapshots will be. This resolution works well for displaying on most equipment and for small scale printing. However, there may be times you desire a higher resolution output for your rendering. For example, large scale printing or displaying on higher resolution devices such as 4K monitors or projector equipment.
The Custom Render feature in 2020 Visual Impression will allow you to render your image at your desired resolution.
The feature may be found by clicking the Presentation button at the top of the screen, and then choosing the Custom Render button.
Here you may make final adjustments to the scene and set the rendering quality such as SQ, HQ, HQ+, or HL. You may then input the desired Resolution, Aspect Ratio, and PPI setting.
When ready, click the Start Rendering Button. The program will then process and render your image with the applied settings. This can take some time depending on the settings used. When finished, the image will be created and accessible via your presentation tab.

The quality which is displayed in Fusion on your imported materials all depends on the quality of the original image/material, for exmaple if you choose a poorer quality image/material this would reflect on how its rendered within Fusion, also the same with higher quality images/materials, the higher the quality (and higher the resolutuion) the better the image will look within Fusion.
To achive a reflection on your flooring (or any other surface within your design), you can simply add a box at around 1mm thick and place this on top of your surface, once positioned correctly, change the material of the box to a “Transparaent Glass”, this can be found from within adavanced graphics. Thanks for the example and the tips for printing.
As I mentioned above I am not a kitchen designer nor use 2020. My question is this to all 2020 designers. When you design a kitchen do most of you go to the home to see what your designing or do you design based on a client coming to your office and giving you dimensions?
I would find it difficult to design a kitchen for a client where I did not see nor measure for myself the area. Take measurements in the home etc.
Just curious to hear the answers!!
