I am using print “Print to PDF” function to build a proper order package for my customers as an addition to 3d renders.

I’ve seen lately it is possible to add perspective views and the list of materials to PDF.

    How do I do that?

I have a problem that occurred out of the blue that I don’t know how to correct.  My left mouse button no longer rotates my perspective view, it pans instead now and I don’t know how it happened or how to change it back.

Anyone able to help me out here?

Hi, I’m new to version 11 of 2020 and am having an issue with my countertops disappearing in my perspective views. They still show in the floorplan and in the elevations, but some sections (usually not all) are not there in the perspective view. I’ve checked my camera and this is not due to object clipping or camera clipping and it isn’t limited to the countertops at the front of the view anyway. Anyone know why?

viewing the attributes of an item/cabinet is way too small, also the perspective view is too small but everything else such as the text is good. What can I do to fix this?

    Thank you.

Playing around with the named view tabs in Perspective, and it appears to ignore the fact that I’ve hidden layers when I’ve assigned a tab to a view. – So I have my view of a sink wall, but the island is in the way, so I’ve assigned the Island to a layer, and hidden it. I’ve now gone to my main view, where I want everything to be visible, and un-hidden the island layer, then given that view its own named tab also. However, now when I go back to the other tab views, the island is visible in them all….

Footnote: the new named views system fully supports the ability to show items in one named view and hide them in another – this applies across each of the plan, elevation and perspective view types.

    Hi Richard,

Upgrading to Version 6 will vastly improve your user experience in this respect, specifically via the application’s revamped Named Views system, which allows you to create, save and instantly recall specific views in each of plan, elevation or perspective.

The solution uses a ‘tab’ mechanism similar to that of MS-Excel making it quick and easy to navigate and manage.

Examples include – ‘layered views’ for different product types (e.g. worktop only views, tiling only views, installation symbol only views); ‘positional views’ to easily define and recall different viewpoints in the same design, or ‘themed views’, allowing you to create representations of the same design at different times of day. Or indeed combinations of all of these.

You may still need to create and assign to a layer, but moving between defined layers has never been easier. Indeed, in perspective views (Presentation and Presentation Plus) all unmodified views are cached, which means they will not re-render when recalled!

    Best wishes,

    Jim

I have used 2020 for years but just upgraded to V11 which is very different from previous version I was using. In the perspective view I have figured out how change the view height and angle and what not but in a small room I am having trouble backing up the view. It keeps backing me up out of the room and I am looking at the outside of the wall. I used to be able to back up within the room in the previous version. I am sure its possible, just cant figure it out.

    Thanks All

The color difference between what I see in the perspective view and to what is displayed after launching a rendering is very different (see attached side by side).  Because of the insane difference very difficult to adjust.  It appears to be some sort of lighting issue.  Any suggestions on how to get them to be a little closer so that I am not having to guess so much.

With 2020 Fusion 6.2 or newer, you can easily add Skylights and Roof Lanterns to flat ceilings.

Version 6.2 now offers the designer the ability to add not only these, but also a range of other ceiling fixtures to a flat ceiling and for the application to then apply appropriate cut-outs, as well as display sunlight and backgrounds, as necessary.

    Before you proceed

Please ensure that you are running 2020 Fusion 6.2 and that the Advanced Graphics catalogue is up to date.

    1. Once your walls have been drawn, click the new Ceiling Fixture Selector icon in the Catalogue Items Palette.

Several new items will appear in the list. If the list is blank, please update your Advanced Graphics catalogue.

    2. Drag and drop the desired item onto your plan. You may move the item freely and adjust the item dimensions as well.

    3. Generate a perspective to view the item.

Tip: If the item does not appear in perspective view, it may be too high above the ceiling. Simply highlight the item in Plan view, and lower it by clicking the Pull Item(s) Towards icon under the Items tab.

For more information about this new feature, see page 29 of the “What’s New in 2020 Fusion 6.2” document.

    Topic: Velux Windows

    Hi

Can any one help me with adding velux windows into a sloped ceiling, I have previously performed this task hundreds of times on previous versions of 2020 Fusion, but since i have updated to version 6.1.0.52 as soon as I dragg the velux into the room in elevation view the velux window just disappears from the view. It is in the design in the perspective view but not cut into the sloped ceiling. Is this just a bug or am I missing something?

    Thanks

    Glen

    Hi Leigh,

The section pointed out in the image attached, this should display a sloped ceiling? Am i correct in saying it displays in Plan view but not Perspective view? If this is the case can you confirm “Hide Walls” is disabled?

To disable “Hide Walls” please go to > View Tab > Hide Walls  (see attached screenshot)

If you would like to discuss further, feel free to give me a call on 01233 635 533.

    Thanks,

    Ollie
